Erasmus University Medical Center Rotterdam (EMC) is committed to a healthy population and excellence in healthcare through research and education. The center has broad expertise in various research fields, ranging from fundamental and clinical domains to public health and prevention, with an annual research budget of around €150 million. The EMC is one of the leading medical centers in the Netherlands, and has therefor access to all advanced imaging modalities relevant for the GEMINI project. The facilities include, but are not limited, advanced preclinical and clinical MSCT imaging equipment, MRI facilities and high-end ultrasound facilities. As one of the larger epidemiology centers, EMC was one of the leading institutes in the MrClean trials and intimately involved in the InSilc projects.
